		<description>Yeah, now is the time to buy homes for those who&#039;ve still got money. But the positive news is that the house prices are slowly rising again. The rise in foreclosures is just shocking and people are struggling so banks taking over but I wonder whether selling at even half-prices does any benefit to these banks.</description>

		<description>We do a lot of short sales, REO&#039;s, and our real estate brokerage does thousands of BPO&#039;s per year for the lenders. Therefore, I can tell you that this is a great blog by Richard Butler on the national problem. In addition to this, I would like to add that the lenders have to take the lower payoffs because if they don&#039;t the price will even go lower, or in most cases it will go to foreclosure costing them thousands more. Then, everyone looses!

Then to, the lenders need a system to speed up the short sale process, as I have mentioned to several before. One method is to do a quick BPO and see if the offer is anywhere near it. The vast majority of the BPO&#039;s we do are, as they are not &quot;low ball&quot; offers! Their loss mitigation clerks can then quickly submit for an approval, before they loose them, instead of the current process of letting them sit for a couple of months.</description>
